President’s Message: Heather Stewart

Heather StewartI may sound overly enthusiastic, but when I think of family and friends who live east of us, I continue to appreciate our climate west of the Rockies. I do recall February snows and ice of earlier years in BC, but choose to regard those as exceptional.

In the Fraser Valley, good weather also assures us of near-optimal travel conditions, so that I have been able to easily call on both Abbotsford and Langley BPW members. Both clubs, along with our local group, have been providing informative speakers and enjoying animated networking.

Additionally, our Board Secretary, Barbara Fehrmann and I have just returned from our trip to Victoria.

A spectacular view from a 4th floor Days Inn window, dinner with Margo Almond, listening to the BC Legislature’s budget debate and a tour of the Museum were certainly all highlights!

We also appreciated the gracious invitation to lunch in the Legislature’s dining room from MLA Marc Dalton and Marlene Dalton.
